Description (eCommerce)
MARK3 (Microtubule-affinity regulating kinase 3) is also known as PAR-1a (partition-defective 1a) and is a member of a family of kinases that plays a role in cell polarity and cell-cycle control. There are four PAR-1/MARK isoforms encoded by independent genes: MARK1 (PAR-1c), MARK2 (PAR-1b/EMK), MARK3(PAR-1a), and MARK4 (PAR-1d/MARKL1). MARK isoforms phosphorylates microtubule associated proteins (MAPs) such as MAP2, MAP4, and tau to regulate their association with microtubules.
Description (Vector)
MARK3 is activated by phosphorylation and in turn is involved in the phosphorylation of tau proteins MAP2 and MAP4. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
