Description (eCommerce)
Intersectin 1 is an adapter protein that may provide an indirect link between the endocytic membrane traffic and the actin assembly machinery. Intersectin 1 may regulate the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles. Isoform 1 could be involved in brain-specific synaptic vesicle recycling [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q15811].
Description (Vector)
ITSN1 is a cytoplasmic membrane-associated protein that indirectly coordinates endocytic membrane traffic with the actin assembly machinery. In addition, the encoded protein may regulate the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles and could be involved in synaptic vesicle recycling. This protein has been shown to interact with dynamin, CDC42, SNAP23, SNAP25, SPIN90, EPS15, EPN1, EPN2, and STN2. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, but the full-length nature of only two of them have been characterized so far.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
