Description (eCommerce)
Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 3 (IMP3) is an RNA-binding protein that act as a regulator of mRNA translation and stability. IMP3 binds to the 5'-UTR of the insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) mRNAs and to sequences in the 3'-UTR of CD44 mRNA [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ O00425].
Description (Vector)
IGF2BP3 is primarily found in the nucleolus, where it can bind to the 5' UTR of the insulin-like growth factor II leader 3 mRNA and may repress translation of insulin-like growth factor II during late development. The encoded protein contains several KH domains, which are important in RNA binding and are known to be involved in RNA synthesis and metabolism. A pseudogene exists on chromosome 7, and there are putative pseudogenes on other chromosomes.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
