Alternate Names
ATP(GTP)-binding protein; ATPBD1A; GPN-loop GTPase 1; MBD2-interacting protein; MBDIN; NTPBP; RNA polymerase II associated protein 4; RNAPII-associated protein 4; RPAP4; XAB1; XPA binding protein 1, GTPase; XPA-binding protein 1
Description (eCommerce)
GPN-loop GTPase 1 (GPN1) forms an interface between the RNA polymerase II enzyme and chaperone/scaffolding protein, suggesting that it is required to connect RNA polymerase II to regulators of protein complex formation. GPN1 may be involved in nuclear localization of XPA [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9HCN4].
Description (Vector)
GPN1 encodes a guanosine triphosphatase enzyme. The encoded protein may play a role in DNA repair and may function in activation of transcription. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
