Description (eCommerce)
FYCO1 (FYVE and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1) has been identified as a protein that interacts with LC3, Rab7 and PI3P. FYCO1 contains a FYVE-type zinc finger, one GOLD domain, and a RUN domain. FYCO1 is suggested to play a role in microtubule plus end-directed transport of autophagic vesicles.
Description (Vector)
FYCO1 encodes a protein that contains a RUN domain, FYVE-type zinc finger domain and Golgi dynamics (GOLD) domain. The encoded protein plays a role in microtubule plus end-directed transport of autophagic vesicles through interactions with the small GTPase Rab7, phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PI3P) and the autophagosome marker LC3. Mutations in this gene are a cause of autosomal recessive congenital cataract-2 (CATC2).

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
