Description (eCommerce)
CERT (GPBP) is a kinase that phosphorylates the alpha 3 chain of type IV collagen, also known as the Goodpasture antigen, on serine and threonine residues. One isoform of CERT has been shown to mediate intracellular trafficking of ceramides from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus in a non-vesicular manner.
Description (Vector)
COL4A3BP encodes a kinase that specifically phosphorylates the N-terminal region of the non-collagenous domain of the alpha 3 chain of type IV collagen, known as the Goodpasture antigen. Goodpasture disease is the result of an autoimmune response directed at this antigen. One isoform of this protein is also involved in ceramide intracellular transport. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
