Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
anaphase-promoting complex subunit 7; APC7; cyclosome subunit 7
Description (eCommerce)
Anaphase promoting complex subunit 7 (APC7) is a component of the APC/c (anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome) which is responsible for the ubiquitination and degradation of securin and cyclin B which prompts the onset of anaphase and exit from mitosis. The APC/c is composed of at least 11 subunits.
Description (Vector)
ANAPC7 encodes a tetratricopeptide repeat containing component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a large E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls cell cycle progression by targeting a number of cell cycle regulators such as B-type cyclins for 26S proteasome-mediated degradation through ubiquitination. The encoded protein is required for proper protein ubiquitination function of APC/C and for the interaction of APC/C with certain transcription coactivators. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
