Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
Ebi2
Description (Vector)
Receptor for oxysterol 7-alpha,25-dihydroxycholesterol (7-alpha,25-OHC) and other related oxysterols. Binding of 7-alpha,25-OHC mediates the correct localization of B-cells during humoral immune responses. Promotes activated B-cell localization in the outer follicle and interfollicular regions. Its specific expression during B-cell maturation helps position B-cells appropriately for mounting T-dependent antibody responses (By similarity). Signals constitutively through G(i)-alpha, but not throughG(s)-alpha or G(q)-alpha. Signals constitutively also via MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2).

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
