Description (eCommerce)
PolD3/p66 is a subunit of the heterotetrameric DNA polymerase delta that plays a role in DNA replication and repair. The PolD3/p66 subunit has been shown to mediate the interaction between DNA polymerase delta and PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) to facilitate processivity.
Description (Vector)
POLD3 encodes the 66-kDa subunit of DNA polymerase delta. DNA polymerase delta possesses both polymerase and 3' to 5' exonuclease activity and plays a critical role in DNA replication and repair. The encoded protein plays a role in regulating the activity of DNA polymerase delta through interactions with other subunits and the processivity cofactor proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
