Alternate Names
TGN38; TGN38 homolog; TGN46; TGN48; TGN51; trans-Golgi network integral membrane protein 2; trans-Golgi network protein (46, 48, 51kD isoforms); trans-Golgi network protein TGN51; TTGN2
Description (eCommerce)
TGOLN2 is a type I integral membrane protein that is localized to the trans-Golgi network, a major sorting station for secretory and membrane proteins. TGOLN2 cycles between early endosomes and the trans-Golgi network, and may play a role in exocytic vesicle formatio [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 10618)].
Description (Vector)
TGOLN2 encodes a type I integral membrane protein that is localized to the trans-Golgi network, a major sorting station for secretory and membrane proteins. The encoded protein cycles between early endosomes and the trans-Golgi network, and may play a role in exocytic vesicle formation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
