Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
ERIC1; ERIC-1; transforming acidic coiled-coil-containing protein 3
Description (eCommerce)
Transforming acidic coiled-coil-containing protein 3 (TACC3) plays a role in the microtubule-dependent coupling of the nucleus and the centrosome. It is involved in the processes that regulate centrosome-mediated interkinetic nuclear migration (INM) of neural progenitors. TACC3 may be involved in the control of cell growth and differentiation and may contribute to cancer [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9Y6A5].
Description (Vector)
TACC3 encodes a member of the transforming acidic colied-coil protein family. The encoded protein is a motor spindle protein that may play a role in stabilization of the mitotic spindle. This protein may also play a role in growth a differentiation of certain cancer cells.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
