This is an AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human RCOR1.
shAAV-220949
AAV-h-RCOR1-shRNA
Ready-to-use AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human RCOR1 (REST corepressor 1). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
COREST; Protein CoREST; RCOR; REST corepressor 1
Description (eCommerce)
CoREST has been identified as a component of a histone deacetylase (HDAC) complex as well as an interacting protein and corepressor of the REST (repressor element 1 silencing transcription factor) transcription factor. HDAC complexes deacetylate chromatin to repress transcription and silence genes. The CoREST complex may be important in restricting gene expression in a tissue-specific manner.
Description (Vector)
RCOR1 encodes a protein that is well-conserved, downregulated at birth, and with a specific role in determining neural cell differentiation. The encoded protein binds to the C-terminal domain of REST (repressor element-1 silencing transcription factor).

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
