Alternate Names
cell division protein kinase 17; cyclin-dependent kinase 17; PCTAIRE2; PCTAIRE-motif protein kinase 2; PCTK2; protein kinase cdc2-related PCTAIRE-2; serine/threonine-protein kinase PCTAIRE-2
Description (eCommerce)
PCTAIRE 2 is a member of the PCTAIRE subfamily of Cdc2-related kinases. The “PCTAIRE” acronym represents the amino acid sequence of a highly conserved region that corresponds to the PSATIRE motif of Cdc2. PCTAIRE 2 may play a role in terminally differentiated neurons.
Description (Vector)
CDK17 belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of the ser/thr family of protein kinases. It has similarity to a rat protein that is thought to play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
