Description (eCommerce)
Nuclear valosin-containing protein-like (NVL) is a member of the AAA (ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities) superfamiyl [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 4931)].
Description (Vector)
NVL encodes a member of the AAA (ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities) superfamily. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Two encoded proteins, described as major and minor isoforms, have been localized to distinct regions of the nucleus. The largest encoded protein (major isoform) has been localized to the nucleolus and shown to participate in ribosome biosynthesis (PMID: 15469983, 16782053), while the minor isoform has been localized to the nucleoplasmin.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
