Description (eCommerce)
NDE1 (nuclear distribution factor E homolog 1) is important to microtubule organization, mitosis, and cell migration. It is required for the duplication of centrosomes and the function of the mitotic spindle. NDE1 is a binding partner of DISC1 (disrupted-in-schizophrenia 1) along with LIS1 (lissencephaly 1) at the centrosome and at synapses in neurons. It is also part of a multiprotein complex that regulates dynein. The NDE1 gene has been identified as a schizophrenia-associated locus.
Description (Vector)
NDE1 encodes a member of the nuclear distribution E (NudE) family of proteins. The encoded protein is localized at the centrosome and interacts with other centrosome components as part of a multiprotein complex that regulates dynein function. This protein plays an essential role in microtubule organization, mitosis and neuronal migration. Mutations in this gene cause lissencephaly 4, a disorder characterized by lissencephaly, severe brain atrophy, microcephaly, and severe mental retardation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
