Alternate Names
bromodomain-containing protein 3; bromodomain-containing protein 3 short isoform; ORFX; RING3L; RING3-like protein
Description (eCommerce)
BRD3 (bromodomain containing 3) is a double bromo-domain containing protein. It has been shown to associate with hyperacetylated chromatin of transcribed genes. From this finding it is suggested that BRD3 plays a role in RNA polymerase II transcription through nucleosomes. A chromosomal translocation resulting in a fusion protein involving BRD3 and NUT has been associated with a rare and lethal carcinoma. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q15059 and from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 8019)].
Description (Vector)
BRD3 was identified based on its homology to the gene encoding the RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. The gene localizes to 9q34, a region which contains several major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes. The function of the encoded protein is not known.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
