Alternate Names
ALAZS; HDCMA18P; La ribonucleoprotein domain family member 7; la-related protein 7; PIP7S; P-TEFb-interaction protein for 7SK stabilitY
Description (eCommerce)
La-related protein 7 (LARP7) is a component of 7SK ribonucleoprotein (RNP). The 7SK snRNP plays a role in regulating the activity of the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) complex.
Description (Vector)
LARP7 encodes a protein which is found in the 7SK snRNP (small nuclear ribonucleoprotein). This snRNP complex inhibits a cyclin-dependent kinase, positive transcription elongation factor b, which is required for paused RNA polymerase II at a promoter to begin transcription elongation. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
