Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
INT5; integrator complex subunit 5; KIAA1698
Description (eCommerce)
INT5 has been identified as a component of the twelve-subunit integrator complex that functions in RNA Pol II mediated 3’-end mRNA processing of the U1 and U2 small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs).
Description (Vector)
INTS5 is a subunit of the Integrator complex, which associates with the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II large subunit (POLR2A; MIM 180660) and mediates 3-prime end processing of small nuclear RNAs U1 (RNU1; MIM 180680) and U2 (RNU2; MIM 180690) (Baillat et al., 2005 (PubMed 16239144)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
