Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
GRASP-1; GRIP1-associated protein 1
Description (eCommerce)
GRIP1-associated protein 1 (GRASP-1) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the Ras family of small G proteins (RasGEF). GRASP-1 interacts in a complex with glutamate receptor interacting protein 1 (GRIP1) and plays a role in the regulation of AMPA receptor function [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 56850)].
Description (Vector)
GRIPAP1 encodes a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the Ras family of small G proteins (RasGEF). In brain studies, the encoded protein was found with the GRIP/AMPA receptor complex. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described that encode different protein isoforms; however, the full-length nature and biological validity of all of these variants have not been determined.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
