This is an AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human ELK1.
shAAV-207840
AAV-h-ELK1-shRNA
Ready-to-use AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human ELK1 (ELK1, ETS transcription factor). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
ELK1, member of ETS oncogene family; ETS domain-containing protein Elk-1; ETS-like gene 1; tyrosine kinase (ELK1) oncogene
Description (eCommerce)
ELK1 is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors and of the ternary complex factor (TCF) subfamily. Proteins of the TCF subfamily form a ternary complex by binding to the the serum response factor and the serum reponse element in the promoter of the c-fos proto-oncogene. ELK1 is a nuclear target for the ras-raf-MAPK signaling cascade [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2002)].
Description (Vector)
ELK1 is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors and of the ternary complex factor (TCF) subfamily. Proteins of the TCF subfamily form a ternary complex by binding to the the serum response factor and the serum response element in the promoter of the c-fos proto-oncogene. The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear target for the ras-raf-MAPK signaling cascade. ELK1 produces multiple isoforms by using alternative translational start codons and by alternative splicing. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 7 and 14.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
