Alternate Names
DOT1; DOT1 like histone H3K79 methyltransferase; DOT1-like histone methyltransferase; DOT1-like protein; DOT1-like, histone H3 methyltransferase; H3-K79-HMTase; histone H3-K79 methyltransferase; histone methyltransferase DOT1L; histone-lysine N-methyltransferase, H3 lysine-79 specific; KMT4; lysine N-methyltransferase 4
Description (eCommerce)
DOT1L is a histone methyltransferase that methylates nucleosomal histone H3 on lysine 79. In contrast to other lysine histone methyltransferase, DOT1L does not contain a SET domain, a domain shown to be necessary for methyltransferase activity.
Description (Vector)
DOT1L is a histone methyltransferase that methylates lysine-79 of histone H3. It is inactive against free core histones, but shows significant histone methyltransferase activity against nucleosomes.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
