CIAPIN1 (cytokine-induced apoptosis inhibitor 1) is also known as Anamorsin. CIAPIN1 may be required for the maturation of extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. CIAPIN1 has anti-apoptotic effects in the cell, and is involved in negative control of cell death upon cytokine withdrawal. CIAPIN1 also promotes development of hematopoietic cells [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q6FI81].
Description (Vector)
CIAPIN1 is a cytokine-induced inhibitor of apoptosis with no relation to apoptosis regulatory molecules of the BCL2 (MIM 151430) or CASP (see MIM 147678) families. Expression of CIAPIN1 is dependent on growth factor stimulation (Shibayama et al., 2004 (PubMed 14970183)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
