Description (eCommerce)
Caf1p150 is one of three subunits that make up the chromatin assembly factor I (CAFI). The CAFI subunits include Caf1 (p150; CHAF1A), P50, and p60 (CHAF1B; MIM 601245). The CAFI complex plays an important role in histone octamer assembly during DNA replication. The p150 subunit has been shown to directly interact with histone H3 and H4 as well as the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and is critical to nucleosome assembly during DNA replication.
Description (Vector)
Chromatin assembly factor I (CAF1) is a nuclear complex consisting of p50, p60 (CHAF1B; MIM 601245), and p150 (CHAF1A) subunits that assembles histone octamers onto replicating DNA in vitro (Kaufman et al., 1995 (PubMed 7600578)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
