Alternate Names
ABC28; ABC-type transport protein; ATP-binding cassette sub-family F member 2; ATP-binding cassette, sub-family F (GCN20), member 2; EST133090; HUSSY18; HUSSY-18; iron-inhibited ABC transporter 2
Description (eCommerce)
ATP-binding cassette sub-family F member 2 (ABCF2) belongs to the adenosine-triphosphate-binding cassette (ABC) family of transporters. ABC transporters are categorized into seven subfamilies: ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and white. ABCF2 is a member of the GCN20 subfamily. Unlike other ABC family members, ABCF2 is not a membrane-spanning protein and therefore may not be involved in transport. ABCF2 has been suggested to be a candidate marker for clear cell adenocarcinoma of the ovary and uterine corpus.
Description (Vector)
ABCF2 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White). This protein is a member of the GCN20 subfamily. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
