Description (eCommerce)
EYA4 (eyes absent homolog 4) is a member of the eyes absent (EYA) family of proteins. EYA4 may act as a transcriptional activator through its protein phosphatase activity, and it may be important for eye development, and for continued function of the mature organ of Corti. Mutations in the EYA4 gene are the cause of deafness utosomal dominant type 10 (DFNA10) and dilated cardiomyopathy 1J (CMD1J).
Description (Vector)
EYA4 encodes a member of the eyes absent (EYA) family of proteins. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional activator through its protein phosphatase activity, and it may be important for eye development, and for continued function of the mature organ of Corti. Mutations in this gene are associated with postlingual, progressive, autosomal dominant hearing loss at the deafness, autosomal dominant nonsyndromic sensorineural 10 locus. Defects in this gene are also associated with dilated cardiomyopathy 1J. Three transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
