Description (eCommerce)
GW182 (glycine-tryptophan protein of 182 kDa) is a member of the trinucleotide repeat containing 6 protein family. It functions in post-transcriptional gene silencing through the RNA interference (RNAi) and microRNA pathways. GW182 has been found to associate with messenger RNAs and Argonaute proteins in cytoplasmic bodies known as GW-bodies or P-bodies. Inhibition of GW182 expression delocalizes other GW-body proteins and impairs RNAi and microRNA-induced gene silencing [taken from NCBI GeneID:27327].
Description (Vector)
TNRC6A encodes a member of the trinucleotide repeat containing 6 protein family. The protein functions in post-transcriptional gene silencing through the RNA interference (RNAi) and microRNA pathways. The protein associates with messenger RNAs and Argonaute proteins in cytoplasmic bodies known as GW-bodies or P-bodies. Inhibiting expression of this gene delocalizes other GW-body proteins and impairs RNAi and microRNA-induced gene silencing.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
