Alternate Names
inositol phosphate 5'-phosphatase 2; inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase H; INPP5H; phosphoinositide 5-phosphatase; synaptic inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate 5-phosphatase 2; synaptojanin-2
Description (eCommerce)
Synaptojanin 2 is a member of the inositol-polyphosphate 5-phosphatase family. Synaptojanin 2 interacts with the ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1, which causes translocation of the encoded protein to the plasma membrane where it inhibits clathrin-mediated endocytosis [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 4141)].
Description (Vector)
The gene is a member of the inositol-polyphosphate 5-phosphatase family. The encoded protein interacts with the ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1, which causes translocation of the encoded protein to the plasma membrane where it inhibits clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
