Description (eCommerce)
Ras-responsive element-binding protein 1 (RREB1) is a transcription factor that binds specifically to the RAS-responsive elements (RRE) of gene promoters. RREB1 may be involved in Ras/Raf-mediated cell differentiation by enhancing calcitonin expression. REBB1 represses the angiotensinogen gene and negatively regulates the transcriptional activity of AR [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q92766].
Description (Vector)
RREB1 is a zinc finger transcription factor that binds to RAS-responsive elements (RREs) of gene promoters. It has been shown that the calcitonin gene promoter contains an RRE and that the encoded protein binds there and increases expression of calcitonin, which may be involved in Ras/Raf-mediated cell differentiation. Multiple transcript variants encoding several different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
