Description (eCommerce)
IGF1R is a receptor tyrosine kinase which mediates actions of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. IGF1R is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 3480)].
Description (Vector)
This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
