Ready-to-use Adenovirus expressing Human GTF2B (general transcription factor IIB). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
general transcription factor TFIIB; RNA polymerase II transcription factor IIB; S300-II; TF2B; TFIIB; transcription initiation factor IIB
Description (eCommerce)
GTF2B/TFIIB (General transcription factor IIB) is one of the ubiquitous factors required for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. GTF2B/TFIIB localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. Transcription factor IIB serves as a bridge between IID, the factor which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2959)].
Description (Vector)
GTF2B encodes the general transcription factor IIB, one of the ubiquitous factors required for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. The protein localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. Transcription factor IIB serves as a bridge between IID, the factor which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
