Dedicator of cytokinesis protein 2 (DOCK2) is Involved in cytoskeletal rearrangements required for lymphocyte migration in response of chemokines. DOCK2 activates RAC1 and RAC2, but not CDC42, by functioning as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which exchanges bound GDP for free GTP. DOCK2 may also participate in IL2 transcriptional activation via the activation of RAC2Â [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q92608].
Description (Vector)
DOCK2 belongs to the CDM protein family. It is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells, predominantly in the peripheral blood leukocytes, and is involved in remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton required for lymphocyte migration, through the activation of RAC. Mice lacking this gene show a severe impairment in the migration and homing of lymphocytes. These mutant mice also exhibited long-term survival of allografts, suggesting that this gene may be a target for controlling transplant rejection.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
