Alternate Names
BUB1 budding uninhibited by benzimidazoles 1 homolog; BUB1A; BUB1L; budding uninhibited by benzimidazoles 1 homolog; hBUB1; mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1; mitotic spindle checkpoint kinase; putative serine/threonine-protein kinase
Description (eCommerce)
Bub1 is cell cycle checkpoint kinase and component of the spindle checkpoint machinery. Bub1 and other spindle checkpoint proteins ensure that segregation does not proceed until all replicated chromatids are associated with a functional bipolar spindle. Bub1 functions to target Bub1-related protein (BubR1), Mad2, and polo-like kinase to kinetochores. It also functions to phosphorylate Cdc20 and inhibit ubiquitination of Pds1/securin by the anaphase-promoting complex (APC).
Description (Vector)
BUB1 encodes a kinase involved in spindle checkpoint function. The kinase functions in part by phosphorylating a member of the miotic checkpoint complex and activating the spindle checkpoint. Mutations in this gene have been associated with aneuploidy and several forms of cancer.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
