Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
BRCA1-A complex subunit RAP80; RAP80; receptor-associated protein 80; retinoid X receptor-interacting protein 110; Ubiquitin interaction motif-containing protein 1; X2HRIP110
Description (eCommerce)
RAP80 was first identified as a nuclear protein that interacts with the retinoid-related testis-associated receptor (RTR) and is able to inhibit the interaction of RTR with the N-CoR co-repressor. RAP80 has also been shown to interact with estrogen receptor alpha (ER-alpha) and modulate its activity. The modulation of ER-alpha activity is dependent on the ubiquitin-interacting motif (UIM) of RAP80. The UIM of RAP80 has also been demonstrated to be important for the BRCA1-dependent DNA repair response.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
