Description (eCommerce)
HELLS, also known as LSH (lymphoid specific helicase), is a member of the SNF2 superfamily of chromatin helicases. HELLS is ubiquitously expressed and is required for the maintenance of normal DNA methylation patterns important to organism development. HELLS function has also been shown to be important to the regulation of proliferation and the expression of senescence-related genes.
Description (Vector)
HELLS encodes a lymphoid-specific helicase. Other helicases function in processes involving DNA strand separation, including replication, repair, recombination, and transcription. This protein is thought to be involved with cellular proliferation and may play a role in leukemogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
