Description (eCommerce)
Exo70 is a component of the exocyst complex involved in the docking of exocytic vesicles with fusion sites on the plasma membrane. In adipocytes, Exo70 plays a crucial role in targeting SLC2A4 vesicle to the plasma membrane in response to insulin, perhaps directing the vesicle to the precise site of fusion [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9UPT5].
Description (Vector)
EXOC7 is a component of the exocyst complex. The exocyst complex plays a critical role in vesicular trafficking and the secretory pathway by targeting post-Golgi vesicles to the plasma membrane. The encoded protein is required for assembly of the exocyst complex and docking of the complex to the plasma membrane. The encoded protein may also play a role in pre-mRNA splicing through interactions with pre-mRNA-processing factor 19. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 4.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
