Description (eCommerce)
Transient receptor protein 3 (TRPC3) is thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. TRPC3 is probably operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. It is activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C, and by inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptors (ITPR) with bound IP3. It may also be activated by internal calcium store depletion [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q13507].
Description (Vector)
TRPC3 is a membrane protein that can form a non-selective channel permeable to calcium and other cations. The encoded protein appears to be induced to form channels by a receptor tyrosine kinase-activated phosphatidylinositol second messenger system and also by depletion of intracellular calcium stores. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
