Description (eCommerce)
TBLR1 is a six WD-40 repeat protein with high sequence homology to TBL1 (transducin beta-like protein 1) and is part of the SMRT (silencing mediator of retinoid and thyroid hormone receptors) and N-CoR (nuclear receptor corepressor) complexes that interact with nuclear receptors and repress transcription. Biochemical characterization of SMRT and N-CoR complexes demonstrate that SMRT and N-CoR are present in complexes that include HDAC3 (histone deacetylase 3), TBL1, and TBLR1. Association with HDAC3 indicates that these complexes may repress transcription through histone deacetylation and chromatin remodeling.
Description (Vector)
TBL1XR1 has sequence similarity with members of the WD40 repeat-containing protein family. The WD40 group is a large family of proteins, which appear to have a regulatory function. It is believed that the WD40 repeats mediate protein-protein interactions and members of the family are involved in signal transduction, RNA processing, gene regulation, vesicular trafficking, cytoskeletal assembly and may play a role in the control of cytotypic differentiation.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
