Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
cell proliferation-inducing gene 54 protein; PDS5, regulator of cohesion maintenance, homolog A; PIG54; SCC112; SCC-112; sister chromatid cohesion protein 112; sister chromatid cohesion protein PDS5 homolog A
Description (eCommerce)
SCC-112, also known as Pds5A, interacts with the cohesin multisubunit complex that plays a critical role in chromosome organization, segregation, gene regulation, and DNA repair. Pds5 is implicated to participate in both stabilization and destabilization of cohesion-mediated cohesion in mitotic chromosomes.
Description (Vector)
PDS5A binds to the cohesin complex and associates with chromatin through most of the cell cycle. The encoded protein may play a role in regulating sister chromatid cohesion during mitosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
