Alternate Names
ACATE2; acyl-CoA thioester hydrolase 9; Acyl-CoA thioesterase 9; acyl-Coenzyme A thioesterase 2, mitochondrial; acyl-coenzyme A thioesterase 9, mitochondrial; CGI-16; mitochondrial Acyl-CoA Thioesterase; MTACT48; MT-ACT48
Description (eCommerce)
ACOT9 is an acyl-CoA thioesterase and a member of a group of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to the free fatty acid and coenzyme A (CoASH), providing the potential to regulate intracellular levels of acyl-CoAs, free fatty acids and CoASH. Active on long chain acyl-CoAs. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9Y305].
Description (Vector)
ACOT9 is a mitochondrial acyl-CoA thioesterase of unknown function. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
