human IKKa shRNA Adenovirus

Name
Ad-h-IKKa-shRNA
Cat No
1841
Availability
Immediate

This is an pre-made gene silencing adenovirus that expresses a shRNA to knockdown human IKKa gene. The shRNA expression is driven by an U6 promoter.

The knockdown of this human gene was validated by western blot in A549 cells.

Description (eCommerce)
I kappa-B kinase-alpha (IKK-alpha) is part of the IKK complex composed of two regulatory subunits, IKK-alpha and IKK-beta, and a regulatory subunit, IKK-gamma/NEMO. The IKK complex functions to phosphorylate and inactivate I kappa B, an inhibitor of the NF-kappa B transcription factor.
Description (Vector)
CHUK encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The encoded protein, a component of a cytokine-activated protein complex that is an inhibitor of the essential transcription factor NF-kappa-B complex, phosphorylates sites that trigger the degradation of the inhibitor via the ubiquination pathway, thereby activating the transcription factor.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
