rat RAN Over-expression AAV
This is an AAV expressing Rat Ran.
AAV-290057
AAV-r-RAN
Ready-to-use AAV expressing Rat Ran (RAN, member RAS oncogene family). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Description (Vector)
GTP-binding protein involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport. Required for the import of protein into the nucleus and also for RNA export. Involved in chromatin condensation and control of cell cycle (By similarity). The complex with BIRC5/ survivin plays a role in mitotic spindle formation by serving as a physical scaffold to help deliver the RAN effector molecule TPX2 to microtubules. Acts as a negative regulator of the kinase activity of VRK1 and VRK2|Function: Enhances AR-mediated transactivation. Transactivation decreases as the poly-Gln length within AR increases.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
