AAV with CMV promoter driven hChR2(E123T)-TdTomato
This AAV expresses hChR2(E123T)-TdTomato driven by an ubiquitous CMV promoter.
This roughly 0.6 Kb promoter is the commonly used human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter/enhancer (CMV/IE).
hChR2 is a humanized version of ChR2 for mammalian expression. Wild-type ChR2, as well as a few of its mutations, provides the fastest excitation of the channelrhodopsins offered, and is widely used in in optogenetics techniques in neuroscience. hChR2(E123T) mutant accelerates the open state decay but reduces photocurrent amplitudes. Its maximal spectrum is near 495nM.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
