Description (eCommerce)
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L1, or UCHL1, is a ubiquitin-protein hydrolase belonging to the peptidase C12 family. It hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. UCHL1 is specifically expressed in neurons and in cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 7345)].
Description (Vector)
UCHL1 belongs to the peptidase C12 family. This enzyme is a thiol protease that hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. This gene is specifically expressed in the neurons and in cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system. Mutations in this gene may be associated with Parkinson disease.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
