Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 T (UBE2T) is an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that is part of the three-step pathway responsible for the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to proteins for their targeted degradation. UBET2 in conjuction with the Fanconi anemia (FA) complex is responsible for the DNA damage-induced monoubiquitination of the FANCD2 protein of the Fanconi Anemia pathway.

The covalent conjugation of ubiquitin to proteins regulates diverse cellular pathways and proteins. Ubiquitin is transferred to a target protein through a concerted action of a ubiquitin-activating enzyme (E1), a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme (E2), such as UBE2T, and a ubiquitin ligase (E3) (Machida et al., 2006 (PubMed 16916645)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
