Description (eCommerce)
TCF12 (transcription factor 12), also known as HeLa E-box binding protein (HEB), is basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that recognizes consensus E-box binding sites and is found to be important for T-cell development and cell differentiation. TCF12 can interact with the immunoglobulin enhancer binding proteins E12 and ITF2 as hetero-oligomers to modulate their DNA binding activity.
Description (Vector)
TCF12 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) E-protein family that recognizes the consensus binding site (E-box) CANNTG. This encoded protein is expressed in many tissues, among them skeletal muscle, thymus, B- and T-cells, and may participate in regulating lineage-specific gene expression through the formation of heterodimers with other bHLH E-proteins. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
