Description (eCommerce)
SF3A3 is one of 3 subunits of the SF3a splicing factor. SF3a is composed of a 60 kDa subunit (SF3A3/SF3a60), 66 kDa subunit (SF3A2/SF3a66), and a120 kDa subunit (SF3A1/SF3a120). SF3a is necessary for the in vitro conversion of 15S U2 snRNP into an active 17S particle that performs pre-mRNA splicing [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 10946)].
Description (Vector)
SF3A3 encodes subunit 3 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex. The splicing factor 3a heterotrimer includes subunits 1, 2 and 3 and is necessary for the in vitro conversion of 15S U2 snRNP into an active 17S particle that performs pre-mRNA splicing. Subunit 3 interacts with subunit 1 through its amino-terminus while the zinc finger domain of subunit 3 plays a role in its binding to the 15S U2 snRNP. SF3A3 has a pseudogene on chromosome 20.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
