Description (eCommerce)
PITX1 is a homeobox-containing transcription factor involved in the development of many organs. PITX1 has been demonstrated to play a critical role in pituitary organogenesis and can stimulate transcription from most pituitary hormone promoters. PITX1 has also been shown to stimulate the leutinizing hormone (LH)-beta gene promoter and may serve an important role in reproductive gene expression.
Description (Vector)
PITX1 encodes a member of the RIEG/PITX homeobox family, which is in the bicoid class of homeodomain proteins. Members of this family are involved in organ development and left-right asymmetry. This protein acts as a transcriptional regulator involved in basal and hormone-regulated activity of prolactin.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
