Description (eCommerce)
NUMB plays an essential role in the determination of cell fate and development and appears to be especially important to sensory organogenesis and neurogenesis. NUMB is a notch1-interacting protein that antagonizes the notch1 signaling pathway. In the cell, NUMB is asymmetrically localized. The polarized distribution of NUMB in the cell is fundamental to its function of promoting asymmetric cell division for cell fate specification. Numb is also implicated to function as an endocytic protein, as it interacts with EPS15, a protein involved in endocytosis.
Description (Vector)
NUMB plays a role in the determination of cell fates during development. The encoded protein, whose degradation is induced in a proteasome-dependent manner by MDM2, is a membrane-bound protein that has been shown to associate with EPS15, LNX1, and NOTCH1. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
