Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
myelodysplasia-myeloid leukemia factor 1; myeloid leukemia factor 1; testis tissue sperm-binding protein Li 49e
Description (eCommerce)
Myeloid leukemia factor 1 (MLF1) is an oncoprotein linked to myeloid leukemia and functions in hemopoietic lineage commitment. In acute myeloid leukemia, MLF1 has been identified in a chromosomal translocation and fusion with nucleophosmin. MLF1 has been found to shuttle between the cytoplasm and nucleus where it may influence gene expression.
Description (Vector)
MLF1 encodes an oncoprotein which is thought to play a role in the phenotypic determination of hemopoetic cells. Translocations between this gene and nucleophosmin have been associated with myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
