Ready-to-use Adenovirus expressing shRNA for silencing of Human KHSRP (KH-type splicing regulatory protein). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
epididymis secretory sperm binding protein; far upstream element-binding protein 2; FBP2; FUBP2; FUSE-binding protein 2; KH type-splicing regulatory protein; KSRP; p75
Description (eCommerce)
KH-type splicing regulatory protein (KSRP) contains four K homology RNA-binding domains. KH domains are found in a wide variety of proteins including ribosomal proteins, transcription factors, and mRNA processing proteins. KSRP has been found to promote the degradation of mRNAs that encode proteins involved in proliferation and the inflammatory response.
Description (Vector)
The KHSRP gene encodes a multifunctional RNA-binding protein implicated in a variety of cellular processes, including transcription, alternative pre-mRNA splicing, and mRNA localization (Min et al., 1997 (PubMed 9136930); Gherzi et al., 2004 (PubMed 15175153)).(supplied by OMIM, Apr 2010)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
